So sorry I could not make the trip. I did, however, find some wonderful information and two photos on ancestry.com. I will need my sister's help w/ computer to get copies to you.
1. With a terrifically clear 2-3/8" x 3" photo of your Dad with the following text:
"1st Lt., U.S. Army, Age 23, Entered service June 23, 1942, Fts. Wood, MO, Belvoir, VA; Belgium; Holland; Germany. Awarded 4 Battle Stars. Attended Ohio State University. Catholic. Son of Mr. and Mrs, Frank M. Quinn, New Lexington, Ohio." This was found in the "World War II Young American Patriots, 1941-1945" section. The wonderful photo that accompanies this information shows your Dad's Army Officer's hat, with gold eagle badge, jauntily tilted to the left on his head.
.
2. A 1939 Junior Class photo with your Dad at New Lexington High School. This yearbook was called the Lexingtonian. So, your Dad would have graduated in 1940.
3. Copy of your Dad and Mom's actual marriage certificate.
With love and prayers, Your Cousin, Mary Augustine Kiener
