Mary - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I did not have the pleasure of meeting your mom but I am told you were blessed with a keeper. May God continue to bless you as you heal from your loss. <3
Aunt Betty always made me feel like I was born into the family, not married into it. She and Uncle LaVerne were both fantastic that way! She also always made an effort to attend (and usually did attend) the family events Tom and I invited her to even though it was quite a ways for her to drive. Enjoyed her smiling face.
I don't have any gumdrops to make cookies and I don't have her complicated jello recipe (nor the patience to make it), but I do have a can of baked beans that I can doctor up and top with bacon for dinner tonight --- Aunt Betty style! They won't be nearly as good as hers, but the reminder will put a smile on my face as I recall some wonderful childhood memories of a dear aunt. Cheers to a beautiful lady!
To all my Cada cousins, my prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Very sorry to read of the passing of Betty in the Free Press. She was a niece to my parents, Emory and Betsy (Elizabeth) Berry and much beloved by my mother especially in her later years. I remember talking to her at several social occasions at the Ed and Lillian Close home in the sixties in Detroit.
Our condolences, George and Bonnie Berry
Sorry to hear of your lose. Hoping that my mother Betty Queen and Betty will now be able to have conversations where they hear each other. Sometimes its was funny watch them trying to hear each other. She will be missed.

Betty was a dear person who introduced me to her friends at St John Berchman when Dick and I moved to Detroit in 1968. She made the move a wonderful experience for me. You are so blessed to have had her for so many years. Love, Mary Ann Chaperon
