Hey John…. It’s been a long while. I’m so disappointed in myself that I let my chaotic life get in the way of stopping by your house to say, “Hey John how have you been my friend!” It’s so sad that we always think we still have tomorrow to do so when in fact this is the wrong way to think! I could kick myself for not stopping when I passed your house 100x’s in that 4.5 years after my house fire. I can’t believe it was 4.5 years since I seen you.

Your laugh and your beautiful smile was so contagious. Not sure how I let myself not be in your presence for that long. I loved your dimples too. I took notice of your teeth because you had the same cute small gap between your two front teeth like mine. You had the prettiest blue eyes too.

I always said to you that you would make a great horse jockey because of how small you were. John Thank you for watching Alia (my German shepherd) while I went on my Africa trip. She is my pride and joy and I knew I had nothing to worry about entrusting you with her. You had the biggest heart than anyone I know on this Earth. God knows the good ones to take. Alia loved you she didn’t even get as excited as I thought she would when I came to pick her up because she knew it meant leaving you and she didn’t want to leave you. Thank you so so much for your kind heart your generosity and most importantly for being my friend for 10 years. You are definitely one of a kind. I pray I get to see you again when I’m fortunate enough like you are to be able to come home to the Lord.

For my uncle there are two men I ever shed tears for when I was named Arnie and now one John. I said tears for the talks we won't have anymore for the long rides we won't have for the work we won't do for the drinks we won't have for the lies we won't tell each other I should tears for my uncle I said tears for the loss but most of all I shed tears for my friend. My grandfather my Pops was my best friend my super hero my rock and my whole world words can't describe the devastation that the kids and I feel currently the only solace is knowing that he's no longer suffering and is reunited with my beloved grandmother my 2D I miss hearing him say hey kid how was your day? Our conversations about the trucking,motorcycle days growing up in Marlette, going to the LAX as he called it, everyone meant so much to him and now I see how much he meant to everyone else

The first time I met Johnny, he was up to no good. Uncle David and I were at Karen's house at Christmas. Johnny had gotten a pair of pliers or wire cutters of some sort and decided a good place to try them out was on Karen's centerpiece. Of course, Arnie was right there to cheer him on. He never went anywhere where he didn't make people laugh. One of a kind does not begin to describe him.

There will never be another Johnny. He's been my friend, my confidante, my family, my ride-or-die, my brother (in-law), my drinking buddy, my shoulder to cry on, my history. And he made my sister Susie SO happy. I love him for that reason especially. It was a great 50- year ride Johnny. I will always miss you.
