Thornton A. “Chris” Christy age 84 of St. Clair died at home Saturday, Aug. 8,2015. He was born September 29,1930 in St. Clair to the late Thornton S. And A Cecilia M. (Piper) Christy. Chris married Elsie Schuman at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair on June 3, 1950. He worked for H.A. Smith Stores, National Foods and retired as a letter carrier for 30 years. Chris was Us Army Veteran serving in the Korean War (1952-53). He is survived by his wife Elsie, daughter Laura, 4 grand children Sarah, Jacob, Aaron and Ethan, 3 great grandchildren Ava, Sage and Lena, two step-brothers John and Joseph Lisee and nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and memorials in Chris’s name may be made the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Salvation Army. Private family service will be held. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son
