Thomas Edward Bemiss' Obituary
Thomas Edward Bemiss, age 59, of Marysville, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2021. He was born October 24, 1961 to the late Wayne and Viola Bemiss. Tom married Elizabeth Oles on December 28, 1989. He worked construction jobs for many years and worked the last 24 years at the St. Clair County Road Commission.
Tom grew up on the family farm in Byron, Michigan where he learned what hard work was, but loved spending time hunting and trapping. Tom was a man who would lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He loved going to garage sales to find treasures and share them with others, trying his luck at the casinos, watching old westerns, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending Sundays watching football. His kids were the light of his life along with his faithful mutt Willy, but most of all Tom especially loved the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Elizabeth; loving father of Christopher “Ryan” (Kortney) Jones, Nicholas Bemiss, Kayla Bemiss, Joshua Bemiss; granddaughter, Alexandria Jones; sisters, Mary Ann Lupu and Linda (Steve) Farro; mother-in-law Norma Oles and the Oles extended family, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Viola Bemiss, and brother-in-law, George Lupu.
A memorial visitation will take place Saturday August 28, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. which will lead into a service at 7:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort visit www.lcfandson.com
