Mrs. Sharon Lynne Macri's Obituary
Mrs. Sharon Lynne Macri (née Bateman), age 83, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Marysville, Michigan. A devoted wife, mother, nurse, educator, and friend, Sharon lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and grace.
Born on June 23, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Sharon was the daughter of Myra and Edward Lynn Bateman. She graduated from Servite Catholic High School and went on to pursue a career in nursing—a calling that would define much of her life’s work. After earning her nursing degree, she later achieved a Master of Arts in Management and Supervision: Public Administration from Central Michigan University.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Dr. Joseph D. Macri; her three children: Catherine Kibler (William), Heather Franso (O’Neil), and Jeffrey; her three grandchildren Avery Friedman, Madison Friedman, and Nicholas Friedman, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Janice Finn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at LC Friederichs & Son Funeral Home located at 214 Trumbull St., St. Clair, Michigan 48079. A private family hour will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 415 N. 6th St., St. Clair, Michigan 48079. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service.
Sharon's last spoken words were, "I love you, too," which exemplify her legacy for all those who knew her.
