Mr Russell B Mollan's Obituary
Russell Burton Mollan, 93, of St. Clair, died at home June 5, 2014. Russell was born May 30, 1921 in Smiths Creek, Michigan to the late Thomas John and Blanche Maude (Lashbrook) and graduated from St. Clair High School in 1940. Over the years, Russell worked for Chris Craft in Algonac, Alloy Trailers, Lockhead Martin in California, and retired from Lear Sigler – Sherwood Brass Division in 1984. Russell and his wife, Grace Mary, traveled with friends many years after retirement. He was a St. Clair super fan attending many high school and Little League games over the years including coaching baseball teams for his three sons. He enjoyed golf and bowling and had been on many St. Clair leagues well into his late 80’s.
Russell is survived by his wife, Grace Mary (Preston) of more than 69 years and their four children: Thomas P. (Julie) of Grand Rapids, Russell P. (Cathy) of St. Clair, Timothy P. (Linda) of St. Clair and Pamela A. Mollan of Sterling Heights. Russell had four grandsons Joshua P. (Margo) of Grand Rapids, Michael T. (Lisa) of Lake Orion, Christopher R. (Melanie) of Farmington Hills and Matthew T. (Tanya) of Shelby Twp. He is survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Russell was proceeded in death by two brothers, William Orin (Molly) and John Thomas (Pauline).
Visitation Sunday from 1-6 PM in the L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair with funeral service Monday, 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Private family burial in St. Mary’s Cemtery. Memorials to donor’s choice. Arrangements by L.C Friederichs & Son
