Roy W. Rogensues' Obituary
Roy W. Rogensues of St. Clair and Port Huron, 87, died Sunday March 20, 2011. Roy was born December 19, 1923 to the late Carl and Minnie Rogensues.
He was a long time Macomb County and St. Clair County resident and current resident of Port Huron. Roy served in many capacities over the years in the legal profession. He was a well respected attorney and considered a municipal law expert. Roy represented many municipalities over the years in Macomb and St. Clair counties. He was a graduate of Wayne State University and Detroit College of Law and also an alumnus of Michigan State University.
Roy practiced law for over 50 years and was well known throughout the legal profession. He was a proud World War II veteran and served his country in the Air Force in Alaska and for the Navy Security Specialists in Southeast Michigan after the war. A loyal 32nd degree Master Mason of the F&AM order, also and an admitted associate Pastor of the Lutheran Missouri Synod Church.
Roy is survived by sons, Jeff (Karen)Rogensues, Michael (Jan)Rogensues, Greg Rogensues, Rodger(Sandi)Rogensues and Daughter Janice Rogensues Norton, 9 grand children, his sister Shirley and loving caring companion Gloria James and his best friend Willie the dog.
He was preceded in death by Wife Joyce (Huka) Rogensues and 2 grand children Alex Robert Rogensues and Clara Ann Norton , brother Charles.
Visitation in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, Thursday from 3-9 PM with Masonic Service 7 PM,Thursday evening. Funeral service, Friday 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
