Rita Pung, 69, of Port Huron, was called to the Lord on April 23, 2024. Rita was born to the late Gordon and Berniece Pung on April 11, 1955 in St. Clair. She attended public school there. She enrolled in the nursing program at SC4 after high school.
Rita enjoyed bible study, family, friends, bingo, cross stitch, working with the Red Cross and shopping.
She liked the activities and lunches at Sunrise Pace. She was thankful to the staff there and at Community Mental Health for their care and kindness.

Rita's life was supported by her brother, Larry, for over 30 years and her sister, Susan. Rita was recognized as " a model mental health patient" by Community Mental Health. Her diagnosis at age 17 was
schizophrenia, which was such an unfair and difficult to manage brain disfunction. She tried her best on a daily basis to overcome it.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sunrise Pace or St. Clair County Community Mental Health.
