Richard J. Desmond's Obituary
Richard J. Desmond age 76 of St. Clair formerly of Detroit and Harbor Beach died Wednesday
February 20. Richard was born July 18, 1925 in Detroit to the late James R. and Agnes L
Desmond. He was a well known floral designer in the Detroit area excelling in floral design,
retiring in 1987 from the Nature Nook of J. L. Hudson’s Co. Richard was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
He is survived by his sisters Kathryn (Darr) Horan of St. Clair, Joan Marie (Jack) Wiltz of Burton
and brother Edward F. Desmond of Ann Arbor, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by his brothers Bernard, James and Vincent.
Thursday visitation from L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home , St. Clair from 2-8 PM with
Rosary at 7:30 PM. Friday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10 AM till mass at 11 AM.
Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Donors choice
