Richard F. Loy's Obituary
Richard F. Loy, age 89, of Evergreen, CO, and formerly of Detroit, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021. Richard was born on March 22, 1932 in Detroit and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Detroit. He proudly served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
He owned and operated Denver National Electrical Contracting and was a member of Local 58 IBEW for over 40 years.
He is survived by his children; Linda Leuch, David (Alison) Loy, Thomas Loy, and Barbara (Bryan) Stier. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Angela Leuch, Kevin Stier, John Stier, Christopher Stier, Ellen Loy and Heather Stier and nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter; Kathleen Loy, parents; Frank and Elizabeth Loy, his brother; Robert James Loy and the mother of his children Marie.
Funeral mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church located at 1828 Jay St. Detroit, MI 48207. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home at 214 Trumbull St. St. Clair, MI 48079 and at church 30 minutes prior to service. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
Private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
