Ray seemed such a gentle soul. I felt so relaxed around him. We had such pleasant visits when I came out to see him and Ruthann. My brothers were both very fond of him,as well as Maxine. There is so much more I wish I had known about him. I'm so sorry I was out of town at the time of the funeral. My love to all of you as you grieve such a fine man. My sister Mona is unable to express her condolences, but she cried when we talk of his death and the pleasure we had putting the pictures of his lovely family in the genealogy. I was very sorry to hear about Mr. Ellis passing, for I heard just how much all his family loved and respected him. I never knew Mr. Ellis in person, but I knew him through his grandson Ray.
