Ray "Pudge" Aldrich's Obituary
Raymond "Pudge" Aldrich was born in Port Huron, Michigan, on December 26, 1933 to Ivene Marie and Raymond Chauncey Aldrich.
He met Shirley Jean Matthews in high school, and they were married soon after graduating
Ray served in the Army for 4 years as a company clerk. He was stationed in Columbia, South Carolina and Germany. After his military service, he continued his career in office management and banking. He was able to enjoy more than 20 years of well deserved retirement.
Ray loved to tease and enjoyed making people laugh. Baseball was a passion, and he was a complete player - an awesome pitcher who could also hit and field. His accomplishments included pitching a no hitter and being voted MVP. Ray loved his family, loved sports, fishing, reading, making fudge, and relaxing at home watching old movies.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughters Rae Ann Walker and Shelly Aldrich; sons Tim (Renee) Aldrich, Chris Aldrich, and Scott (Diane) Aldrich; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sisters Sandra (Frank) Aldrich Briston and Jill (Gordon) Morrison Emslie; brother Keith (Lynda) Morrison.
