Perry E Westrick's Obituary
Perry E. Westrick, age 78, of St. Clair passed away February 21, 2009 at St. John’s River District Hospital in East China Twp. He was born January 15, 1931 in Marine City to the late George and Frances Westrick.
Perry was a Marine Corps Veteran serving during WWII serving in Paris Island, North Carolina from 1949 to 1951. Mr. Westrick married his late wife of 55 years, Doris Fleury, on August 19, 1950 in St. Clair, Michigan. Perry was formally employed at Chris-Craft in Algonac before being hired by Detroit Edison. He retired from Detroit Edison in May of 1991 after 38 years of loyal service. Perry was a member of St. Clair Fire Department for 35 years, retiring in 1989. Perry served as Chief his last 9 years with the department.
Mr. Westrick is survived by his daughters; Pamela (Larry) Osterland and Tamara (Timothy) McClellan. Grandchildren; Stacey (Stephen) Terhune, Scott (Selena) Osterland, Chad (Melissa) Erdman, Jason Erdman and Timothy McClellan Jr. Great-grandchildren; Matthew and Emma Terhune, Alexis and Adam Erdman, and Kaydence Zegelien. Brother-in-law Donald (Nancy) Fleury and Sister-in-Law Janet Fleury. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Brother-in-law Merton Fleury.
Visitation will take place at L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair on Monday from 6-9pm and Tuesday 1-4pm and 6-9pm with a 7pm Rosary.
