Patricia LaCroix's Obituary
Patricia A. LaCroix age 68 of St. Clair died Saturday, December 20,2008.
Pat was born July 28, 1940 in Saginaw to the late John and Alice Winters.
She married Walt LaCroix July, 9,1960.
Pat graduated St. Clair High School class of 1958 and from Central Michigan University. She worked in the credit office for Diamond Crystal for over 20 years and then was the credit manager for Sony in Novi. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serving as the Senior Council representative and a catechist teacher. Pat was a member and past president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and with her husband Walt helped start the Ecumenical Food Pantry in St. Clair. She also belonged to the St. Clair Women’s League, and was active in the St. Clair Bicentennial celebration. Pat was a avid golfer and walker and enjoyed the family traditional Fourth of July float down the River, meeting with the former Diamond Crystal girls and her class mates from 1958. She was one of the first chairpersons of the St. Clair Art Fair and also enjoyed substitute teaching in the East China School.
Pat enjoyed meeting with her First Friday Club and being with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters, Karly and Allie, assisting them with their ,music, dancing, gymnastics and cheerleading
She is survived by her husband Walt, her daughter Kelly Danhausen; granddaughters Karly and Allie Danhausen, one brother John (Mary) Winters, sister in law Sharon Nix, brother-in-law’s ,Jerry (Mable) Richard, Jon(Glenda) LaCroix and sister-in-laws Gloria (Randy) Schantz, Diane (Ted) Topper and Shirley (Paul)Downey. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her brother, W. Dean Smith..
Visitation Monday from 6-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM with Rosary at 7 PM in the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. In state Wednesday 9:30 till 10 AM when a mass will be said at St. Mary’s Catholic Church . Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials in Pat’s name may be made the The St. Clair Ecumenical Food Panty in care of St. Vincent’s of St. Mary’s
