Oscar L. "Oz" Scharnweber age 87 of St. Clair died Thursday August 5, 2004. Oscar was born in St. Clair January 25, 1917 to the late Louis and Hilda Scharnweber. He married Helen Hay in 1939. Oscar worked at the Daiamond Crystal Salt Co. for 43 years. He was a member of St. Peter''s Lutheran Church, St. Clair, and was an original member of the CRC, Oscar was active in the theatrer guild, the Monday Nighter''s and the St. Clair City Band. He is survived by his wife Helen, his children Sue (Mark) Daniels, David (Carole)Scharnweber, Kay (Marvin) Ashton, Bob (Wendy Parnet) and Bill (Marilyn) Scharnweber. 13 grand children and 9 great grand children, siser-in-law Junaita Scharnweber, aspecial friends Don Barnum, Harry & Wanda Leech. he was preceded in death by brother Arnold and sister Emily Mehlberg. Visiation Friday in the Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 OM. Visaition Saturday at St. Peter''s Lutheran Church from 12:30 till service at 1:30 PM, the Rev Roland Troike officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials to the church or River District Hospital
