Norma McMillan's Obituary
Norma McMillan, age 93, formerly of East China, passed away December 14, 2021 in Austin, Texas. She was born in Benton Harbor, MI on October 28, 1928 to the late Iva (Brigham) and Norman Likes.
She was a nurse graduating from Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit in 1950. She retired in 1985. Upon retiring she and her husband Gene settled in East China from 1990 to 2017.
She is survived by her children; Linda (Steven) Cox, Dana (Teresa) Taipale, Dean Taipale, Keith McMillan and step-daughter, Tami (Glen) Ashba. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; John "Jack" Taipale and Gordon "Gene" McMillan.
Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29 at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron at 10:30 a.m. following the service, with no formal procession.
