Nancy Elaine Boden's Obituary
Nancy Elaine Boden, age 79, of St. Clair, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1946, to the late Ruth and Everett McKenney. Nancy grew up on a dairy farm in Croswell where a monument still stands today of rocks cleaned out of their farm fields that represents her strong work ethic. She attended SC4 Community College and Mercy College of Detroit to obtain a degree as a registered nurse and worked twenty years in various nursing positions. Nancy’s purpose and passion in life was spreading the word of Jesus and His salvation for eternal life with Him. She held a special place in her heart for doing this through Sunday School to spread Jesus’ joy and love to the future generations. She was a member of St. Clair First Global Methodist Church. She also enjoyed hobbies such as spending time with family, reading, embroidery, gardening, and puzzles. Her happy place since childhood was spending summers at Simpson Park Christian Camp. Family members had given her the nickname “Saint Nancy” as she always had a genuine caring heart for others. Nancy always had a song on her heart and message to share to always give thanks to God – 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
Nancy married Ron Boden in 1969. He proceeded her in death on March 3, 2021, after 52 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Paul Boden, Michelle Stein, Heather (Chris) Boden-Carr; grandchildren, Alesha Dupre, Robbie Stein, Nicholas Boden, Connor Boden, Kyle Carr; great grandson, Gunnar Dupre.
A special appreciation goes to the hospice caretakers that cared for Nancy.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
