Merle G Levy, age 90, of St. Clair, passed away Tuesday, Jan 27, 2009, after long illness. He was born Oct 10, 1918 in Saginaw, MI, the first son of Hazel and Merle Levy. He is survived by one of his 7 siblings, Robert Levy of Arv Read Obituary
Mr. & Mrs. Levy were some of my parents dearest friends, and they were always in our lives. We always loved the stories about the adventures they shared in their younger years, especially the skiing trips.

I am Jeanette Bedard's daughter and Theresa and Dorine Mireau's niece. I have such really good memories of Merle and Beryl. They worked with my aunts at the Diamond. Merle was such a happy,positive person. He was a smiling man who never failed to greet a young girl on the streets of St.Clair. Mrs. Levy,Nancy,Julie and families,You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Mr Levy was an incredible man. I will always remember him singing and laughing and,of course, baking those wonderful chocolate,peanut butter cookies. Whenever I listen to"Prairie Home Companion" I have memories of him sitting in his living room with his tape recorder and laughing. I am sure that he's having a blast with all of those who went before!

We met Merle only a few times, but they were happy and memorable occasions--Julie and Eric's wedding, and visiting in Arizona.
