Mary A. "Cookie" Van Tiem's Obituary
Mary A."Cookie" Van Tiem, age 85, of St. Clair, passed away December 24, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born February 6, 1933 in Pittburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Philip and Jessie Kraft. She married Milton Van Tiem, Sr. on February 16, 1953 in Savannah, Georgia. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 449 Marysville for many years and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She enjoyed puzzles, computer games, bird watching,shopping, her dog; Maggie and her cats and most of all her time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children; William (Cindy) Van Tiem, Milton, Jr.(Kathy) Van Tiem, Jessie Sherbutt, Janet (Frank) Allen, Mary Ann (Douglas)
Fowler, Scott Van Tiem, and Darlene (Richard) Sutphen.
She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and
great-great granddaughter; Nyomi, and her sister; Connie O'Malley.
She was preceded in death by two sons; Christopher Van Tiem and Robert Van Tiem , her grandsons; Scotty Van Tiem and Richard Allen and granddaughter; Bobby Jo Schrader.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29 at
L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. A memorial gathering will take place on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
