Mrs Mary Diane Topper's Obituary
Mary Diane LaCroix Topper, 59 of Marine City entered into heaven on Saturday, August 17, 2013.
She was born in Saint Clair, Michigan on July 14, 1954 to Walter Hope LaCroix and Mary Isabelle Durand LaCroix. Diane is a 1972 graduate of Saint Clair High School and holds a Bth from Zion Ministerial Institute. She was married to Theodore (Ted) Arthur Topper II on June 25, 1988.
Diane and her husband Ted have served as missionaries in various West African nations for 25 years under Zion Fellowship International with headquarters in New York State. Their home is in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Diane and her husband traveled world wide teaching in Bible schools and ministering in churches. Diane had many professions one of which was working on English and French language publications for the mission in Africa. Diane loved to travel, cook, play the piano, take care of her pets, and spend time with her students, friends, and family.
Diane is survived by her husband, sister Gloria Schantz (Randy) of Marine City, brother Jerry LaCroix (Mabel) of Decatur, Alabama, brother Richard LaCroix (Catherine) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, brother Jon LaCroix (Glenda) of East China, Michigan, sister-in-law Helenmary Topper Brown (Brian) of Collinsville, Virginia and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, father-in-law Theodore Arthur Topper Sr., mother-in-law Barbara Ann Carpenter Topper, brother Walter Henry LaCroix, sister Shirley Ann LaCroix Downey, sister-in-law Patricia Ann Winters LaCroix, and brother-in-law Paul Downey.
