Mary Fay Rose's Obituary
Mary Fay Rose, age 82, of St.Clair died May 29, 2013 after a long battle with a rare blood cancer disease. She was born on July 11, 1930 in Detroit to the late Albert and Gertrude (Bolio) Mills. Mary graduated with honors from Grosse Pointe High School in 1948. Through church activities Mary met Len and they were married on September 8, 1951. Mary was a school secretary and later a medical transcriptionist. She was a lifelong member of Lutheran churches and very active in teaching Sunday school and was also a Sunday school superintendent. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St.Clair. She enjoyed; music, playing the piano, organ, and harp.
She is survived by her husband; Leonard Rose, children; Gary (Jackie) Rose of Oakland, MI, Donna ( William) Mead of Clinton Twp., MI, grandchildren; William (Ashley) Mead of St.Louis, MO, Nicole (Brent) Dickinson of Alexandria,VA, Christian and Caroline Rose of Oakland, MI. She is also survived by her sister; Jane(Roger) Parke of St.Clair Shores and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St.Clair. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at L.C.Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to the service.
