Martha A. "Marty" Rozell's Obituary
Martha A. “Marty” Rozell, age 80, of St. Clair, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1945 to the late Marvin and Alice Gudenau. She married Jim Rozell in 1988, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2023. Marty was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton Twp. She was a woman dedicated to her faith and was proud member for over 50 years. Marty was a bingo enthusiast. She frequently attended the North Gratiot bingo hall, at least once a week to play. Marty often came home from bingo nights a winner, she was referred to as “Lucky Lady” by her peers. Marty, also known for playing board games and cards, whether it was euchre, poker, or a casual hand around the table, her competitive spirit and sharp mind led to playing for hours on end. Marty was talented in her crafts. She liked painting ceramic dolls, which she collected. She would also paint ceramic ornaments for all of her grandchildren. Marty cherished the time she spent with her family. She loved hosting all the holiday parties, nothing made her happier than having her house full with family, being apart of the love, laughter, and warmth her gatherings had to offer. Marty took great pride in her home, always keeping things clean and organized. She was sure to have everything in its place. Her selfless legacy will always be remembered, and her kind heart, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Kim (Harold) Tresick; Cathy (Chris) Gatz, James (Laura) Rozell, Robin (Gary) Whiting; daughter-in-law, Cindy Rozell; grandchildren, Joey, Crystal, Steven, Kelly, Ashley, Katelyn, Cecelia, Cierra, Saniah, Sarah, Michael, Jeremy, Ben, Mike, Andrew, Rachel, Amy, Matt, Chris, as well as several special great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Sharon, Pat, Bill, Linda; son Jeff Rozell, grandson, Bradley; son-in-law, Joe Tresick.
A funeral service will be on (Monday, June 23rd) at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 38900 Harper Ave, Clinton Twp., MI, 48036. Visitation will be on (Sunday, June 22nd) from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at L. C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, as well as one hour at church prior to the service.
