Louis J. Schweihofer's Obituary
Louis J. “Jim” Schweihofer age 62, of St. Clair, died Monday, August 5, 2002.
Jim was born in St. Clair August 13, 1939 to Louis N. and the late Georgina Schweihofer.
He married Elaine Zweng September 7, 1963. He was the president of Blue Water Oil which
he co-founded with Robert Thompson in 1975. Jim was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church,
serving in the usher club, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the K of C council #2251. He was a member of Detroit Oilmans club, AMOMAC, and a former Board member of River District Hospital,
Algonac savings Bank, Federated Mutual Insurance and the Michigan Petroleum Association.
Jim is survived by his wife Elaine, his father Louis Schweihofer, sons, Jeff (Suzanne),
and Steven (Dawn) Schweihofer, daughters Barbara & Stephanie. Grandchildren Harrison , Zachary, Madison and Joshua . Brothers Jack (Rose) Schweihofer and Jerry (Linda) Schweihofer, sisters, Louise (Jim) Courville, Marion ( Walt) Jones, and Ann (Dan) Linsday, mother-in-law Viola Zweng. Many nieces and nephews and many dear friends who will miss his jam, apple sauce and ground bologna & pickle.
Visitation is Wednesday and Thursday 2-9 PM from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home
with Funeral Mass 10 AM Friday from St. Mary''s, St. Clair, burial in St. Mary''s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim’s name may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society
