Memories of Mrs. Levitt are long. I cherish the last memory when she attended my mother's funeral. We talked for quite awhile and the conversation would have continued if it weren't my mother's funeral. That encounter stayed with me as a greater appreciation of Mrs. Levitt's wisdom, openness, humor, and a zest for life. No wonder she and my mother could easily understand one another.
