Lois P Cox's Obituary
Lois P. Cox, of New Baltimore, Michigan, peacefully entered eternal rest on July 1, 2007. Lois was born January 9, 1920 to Mary Elizabeth and Cornelius Collins in Big Rapids, Michigan. She had eight siblings who all passed before her: Gerald, Earl, Babe, Eleanor, Eileen, John, Kenneth and Robert. Lois Married Louis S. Cox in 1948 and moved to Newark, Delaware. Louis passed away in 1989. Lois worked on the line at Chrysler for many years and was always a tstrong advocate for their vehicles. She enjoyed more than 20 years of retirement pursuing her love of gardening, playing the organ, listening to music, going to the racetracks and traveling. As she had no children, she was close to her family members and is survived by many nieces, nephews and two sisters-in law. During her life, Lois gave generously to the Catholic Church as well as to many organizations for children and animals. Lois was a classy, very pretty Irish lady and her gentle spirit and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass will be held for Lois at St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Clair on Thursday, July 5 at 10:00A. Visitation prior to the service will begin at 9:30AM at the church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. If you desire to give a gift in her name, please do so to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
