Lloyd "Loni" Thorpe's Obituary
Lloyd R. "Loni" Thorpe, age 64, of Port Huron, passed away August 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 6, 1952 in Utica to the late Frank and Jean Thorpe.
He worked at both The Port Huron Times Herald and Thorpe Printing retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family most of all. He belonged to the Masonic Temple in Port Huron for many years.
He is survived by his children; Todd Thorpe, Trevor (Abi) Thorpe-Gianaris, Kristen Thorpe-Struthers, Heather (Darin) Helcher, and Kari (Steve Kowalski) Thorpe. He is also survived by his fiancee; Susan Perkins and her children and grandchildren, his grandchildren; Taj,Jessica, Tre, Janie, Triston, Trevor, Diego, Zachory, Mason, Caleb, Cameron, Caden, and 4 great-grandchildren "G.G. Babies". Also surviving are his brothers; Lance (Stacie) Thorpe, Larry (Peggy) Thorpe, Lane Thorpe, Lyndon (Connie) Thorpe, his sister; Lee Ann (Claudio) Thorpe-Benadiva and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Lyle Thorpe and sister; Lori Thorpe-Dimon.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. A memorial gathering will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
