Linda R. Campbell's Obituary
Linda R. Campbell, 55, died Monday, June 16, 2003 at her home in Tampa, Florida.
She was born May 26, 1948 in St. Clair, Michigan to Vern and Gladys Campbell. She moved to Tampa in 1985 from Denver, Colorado to become a founding member of the Moffitt Cancer Center.
She graduated from the University of Michigan School of Nursing in 1970 and received her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado in 1975. She was Vice-President for Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Office at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute from 1985 to 2001. Following her active nursing career, she devoted many hours as a volunteer at the Cancer Center and at the Tampa Hope Lodge. She was a strong advocate for cancer nursing and was active in many professional nursing organizations.
She is survived by parents; three sisters, Jean (Dan) Saunders, St. Clair, Patty Campbell, West Bloomfield, and Jackie (Tom) Laughlin, Grand Haven, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Friday, June 27, 2003 at 2PM at the First United Methodist Church in St. Clair.

Local arrangements are handled by the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair.
