Lillian Rose Prahl's Obituary
Lillian Rose (Vestal) Prahl age 94 formerly of St. Clair, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, North Carolina after a short Illness.
Lillian was born October 2, 1912 in Novinger, Missouri to the late Claborn and Margaret (Surdey) Vestal. She graduated from High School in Grasston, Minnesota, and married Harold Prahl on June 10, 1933 in Pine City, Minnesota, and he preceded Lillian in death on March 5, 1985.
Lillian worked for 22 years at Chrysler Corporation, doing office work. Lillian and Harold were active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Together they went on a 2-year mission trip out west at Indian Reservations and worked at the Temple in Washington, DC for 2 years. For the last six years she has resided at the Laurels in Pineville, NC.
Lillian is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Joan) Prahl of Gaylord, MI and David (Nancy) Prahl of Willow, AK. , daughters Margaret (Ray) Schocke of Almont, MI and Patricia (Don) Markle of Pineville NC. 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great –great grand children also survive.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 PM Saturday, December 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1990 River Rd., St. Clair in the Relief Society Room. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the church. Burial in Hillside Cemetery Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair
