Leslie English's Obituary
Leslie W. “Duke” English age 92 of St. Clair died Friday, November 18,2005.
Duke was born in Deckerville , September 22, 1913 to the late William and Matilda English. He married June Clark on October 15, 1938 in Port Huron and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1995. Duke worked at the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. in St. Clair for 47 years until retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by two daughters Judy Springborn and Karen (Dave) Fawley. Grand children Jennifer (Steve) McCloskey, Jeff (Liz) Springborn, Jamie (Rob) Laming, Leslie (Dan) Beach and Clark (Kim) Brown. Great grand children Chase, Morgan, Colin & Hayden McCloskey, Natalie & Ryan Springborn, Keenan & Trevin Laming, Jessica, Cooper, Chandler & Parker Beach, C.J., Jordan & Kaitlyn Brown.. Son-in-law James Springborn. He was also preceded in death by brothers Cliff & Jimmy English. Visitation Tuesday from 2-9 PM in the L C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home with prayer service at 7 PM . Memorials to Humane Society or Blue Water Hospice. Cremation will take place with burial of ashes in Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son, www.lcfandson.com.
