LeNora McLeod's Obituary
LeNora “Red” (Macklem) McLeod age 92 died Friday, October 14, 2005. LeNora was born May 8,1913 in Lexington to the late Howard and Myrtle Macklem. She retired from the St. Clair Inn in 1978 after many years of service. Before working at the Inn, LeNora worked at Tom Manis in Port Huron.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, St. Clair, and the Cornell-Marysville Chapter #93 of the Eastern Star. LeNora loved gardening and growing plants. She was best known for her playful sense of humor.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Elizabeth Visger, Sandra (Rick) Blais. One son Edwin (Sandy) McDonald. 9 grand children, 18 great grandchildren, her brother, LeRoy (Mary) Macklem and sister-in-law Irene Macklem. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William (Rose Mary) Macklem and Orville Macklem and son-in law Robert Visger.
Visitation Sunday from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 with Eastern Star Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Service Monday 11 AM from the funeral home, Rev Lynne Busche, officiating. Burial Croswell cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lenora’s memory may be directed to Sandborn Gratiot Memorial Home, 2732 Cherry Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060
