Leland R. Endelmann's Obituary
Leland Endelmann Jr, age 72, of Manton, Michigan formerly of St. Clair passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at home. Lee was born, November 8,1936 in Algonac, Michigan the son of the late Leland R. and Marian (Powers) Endelmann. Lee retired in 1998 from General Motors, Pontiac, Michigan after 32 years. He previously sailed on the Great Lakes for the Interlake Steamship Company as a wheelsman. His love for the Great Lakes and the steamships stayed with him for all his life. A man who enjoyed the outdoors, he boated on Lake St.Clair, and could often be found maintaining his yard, he had pride in a manicured yard and home.
Lee is survived by his sons Daniel Endelmann of Casco, Jon Endelmann of Manton, Brian Johnston of CA., daughters Deborah (Endelmann) Morgan and her husband Kim of Casco, Lisa (Endelmann) and her husband Thomas Martindale of Richmond, Dawn (Robert) Fiege of CA, Penny (Robert) Navarre of Lapeer, Amy (Matt) Pate of Lake Orion. 22 grand children and 11 great grandchildren also survive, his brothers Jon of West Va and Kenneth ( Annmarie) of Marysville, and Thomas (Jill) of Delta Twp.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, sons Mark and Matthew and Brother Joel.
Visitation at the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, Wednesday from 2-8 PM. Funeral service, Thursday 10 AM in the funeral home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to hospice of Michigan, Cadillac Chapter or American Cancer society
