Laura Leonard's Obituary
Laura L. Leonard, age 63 of Columbiaville, MI and Pensacola, FL passed away surrounded by her family at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL on March 17, 2009. She was born July 27, 1945 in Akron , Ohio to the late Joseph and Frances Snyder.
Mrs. Leonard was a 1963 graduate of Holy Redeemer High School in Detroit. She married Charles Leonard in November of 1964 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic in Melvindale. She was a registered nurse for 33 years serving the healthcare industry in many different capacities. Laura was also a devote catholic and served as a Lector, Eucharist Minister, and also received the high honor of 3rd Degree Discaled Carmelite. Long time member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch, MI. Also and avid volunteer at St. Mary’s Shelter and her parish.
Devoted and loving wife of Charles. Loving mother of Lori Dodea, Charles (Petra) Leonard. Devoted grandmother of 8. Dearest step-daughter of George B. Lee. Cherished sister of Kathy (Dan) Bonikowski, George (Liz) Lee, Cindy (Michael) Groh, and Francine (Robert) Kroll. Visitation Saturday from 5-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 6-9pm with a 7pm Rosary at the L.C. Friederichs Funeral Home, St. Clair. Instate Monday from 9am till time of Mass 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Internment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
