Kathleen "Kay" Novak's Obituary
Kathleen “Kay” Novak, age 90, of St. Clair passed away December 6, 2008 surrounded by her family. Kay was born October 12, 1918 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Henry and Lena Wiegand.
Kay married the late Al Novak on May 28, 1938. She retired from the United States Post Office in St. Clair in January of 1985 after many years of service.
Kay is survived by her children Barbara Cronce, James A. (Kathy) Novak, and Nancy Levin. She is the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Kay is also survived by her sister June (Harlan) Ryder. She was predeceased by her husband Al in November of 1974.
Visitation will be held Monday at the L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair from 2-9pm with an 8pm Rosary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair at 10am with Rev. Edward Ritter officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair. Additional visitation will be held 9:30-10am at the church on Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Food Pantry or St. John’s Hospice.
