Joseph "Gus" Vossen's Obituary
Joseph "Gus" Vossen, age 79, of St. Clair, lovingly referred to as Butch by his family, went to the Lord on May 9, 2020. He was born on November 19, 1940 in St. Clair (Jungletown).
He graduated from St. Clair High School and later received an Associate Degree from St. Clair County Community College.
He is survived by his sisters; Elsie Nalepa, Jean Carter and Beulah (Bob) Mowery, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Goldie Holmes, his father; Frederick Vossen, sisters; Geraldine (James) Pecor, Irene (Fred) Cunningham, Helen (Bud) Clute, Shirley (Geno) Denardin, brothers; Fritz (Emma) Barney and Russell Barney and brothers in-law; Paul Nalepa and Steve Carter.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jo Ellen Deleius and Seasons Hospice for their loving care. Memorials are suggested to : Shriners Crippled Children Hospital.
Private graveside services will be conducted. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair.
