Mr John Jones' Obituary
John N. Jones, age 89, of St.Clair, died March 15, 2012. He was born to the late Robert and Frances Jones on September 22, 1922 in Orpington, England. He married Marjorie Warnett on February 1, 1947 in Windsor, Ontario. She preceded him in death on March 21, 1997.
He retired from BP Oil originally Standard Oil after 30 years of service. He was an active member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, St. Clair. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge Evergreen #9 of St. Clair. He was a sargent during World War II serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed volunteering at St. John River District Hospital for many years and was instrumental in establishing the Lifeline program.
He is survived by his children; Kathy Jones and Kevin (Karen) Jones, grandchildren; Jason (Rylee) Beauvais and Adrienne Beauvais,Matthew, David and Erin Jines and great grandchildren; Ella and Abby Beauvais.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 21, at St. Paul Episcopal Church, St. Clair. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Episcopal Church, Masonic Scholarship Fund of Evergreen #9, or St. John Providence Hospice. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs and Son, St.Clair.
