James R. "Jim" Rozell's Obituary
James R. “Jim” Rozell, age 97, of St. Clair, passed away June 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 14, 1926 in Okean, Arkansas to the late Ruford and Lottie Rozell.
Jim proudly served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He had a passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing were his favorite things. He taught and mentored his sons and grandsons his love of these things, especially his grandson and hunting buddy, Matt.
He is survived by his loving wife; Marty Rozell, his children; James, Jr. (Laura) Rozell, Robin (Gary) Whiting, Jeff (Cindy) Rozell, Kim Tresick (Harold) and Cathy (Chris) Gatz.
He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren with one on the way, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 38900 Harper Ave., Clinton Twp, Michigan. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair and from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. at church prior to the service. Military honors will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening.
