I met him a few times up at your garage and at rose hill riding shotgun with TK in truck. Had some good laughs. Your nice family is a reflection of what a good guy he was in the community.

I met Don in 9th grade because he was dating my close friend Margaret Salisbury. He was a super nice and fun person. He had an old Model T and Grace Marzolf Messer and I would sit in the rumple seat while he and Margaret sat in front as he drove across bumpy country fields. All of us were home before dark. I did attend his wedding and saw their first born son before leaving Marine City for the big wide world. I am happy to know he and Margaret shared such a happy marriage together and had lovely children, grand children and great grand children may he rest in peace. Becky Paquette (Rottaris)

I am sadden to hear of Donny's passing. I have know him since Kindergarten up through 11th grade when he quit school. When we were in 2nd grade through 4th, he lived at the northern end of William Street and I lived next to St. Marten's Lutheran Church on South William. On Saturday afternoons. he would walk down and pick me up and we would spend the afternoon at the movies. Even though he didn't graduate with us, he did attend our class reunions for several times. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. I pray that God gives them a peace that passes all human understanding and the knowledge that he is now with eternal life must be a blessing.

If God had offered me a second dad, I definitely would have chosen Don. Loving God and loving people is the way he chose to live and it doesn’t get any better than that. We are fairly new to Fellowship Baptist church but were always cheered by Don's welcoming smile and handshake. He will be missed!
