Mr James N Hall's Obituary
James N. Hall age 90 of St. Clair, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012.Jim was born January 25, 1922 in St. Clair to the late David and Susan Hall.
He graduated from Michigan Tech and served in Europe during WW II as a Lieutenant with the Corps of Engineers, at the end of the war he became a Captain and was sent to Korea with the Corps and eventually retired from the reserves with the rank of Major. Jim married Marcella Kratt in 1948. He worked as an engineer for Vickers and American Standard until 1975 when they moved to St. Clair where Jim sold real estate with the Emig Agency, and then through his own office. He was an avid Pine Shores golfer and an accomplished pianist and clarinet player.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marcella, daughters Susan (Rick) Roberts and Vicki Pfeiffer; son, David (Denise Chafty) Hall; 7 grand children and 4 great grand children also survive.
Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon till 2 PM in the L.C Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. Memorials in Jim’s name may be directed to a veterans organization of the donor’s choice.
