Jacob B. Johnson's Obituary
Jacob B. Johnson, age 77, of St. Clair, died January 21, 2017. He was born February 20, 1939 in Algonac to Jacob and Mabel Johnson. On November 3, 1962 Jacob married Donna Bennett in St. Clair.
Jacob served with the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired from Ford Motor Company following 31 years of employment. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a retired member of the St. Clair Fire Department and the Knights of Columbus. Jake was a devoted family man that also enjoyed bowling and golfing. His family and friends will remember how he loved to dance and how he was usually the first one on the dance floor and the last one off.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Donna Johnson; children, Lori (Terry) LaMontagne, Jean Johnson and Stephen (Kerry) Johnson; grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) North, Noah Johnson, Jenna Johnson and Madylin LaMontagne; great grandchildren, Remley and Ainsley North; sisters, Patricia McWain and Gayle Stoecker; brothers in law and sisters in law; Toni and Pete Miller and Jim and Ann Bennett and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Johnson; brothers, David and Monte Johnson; brothers in law, Kenneth McWain and Ervin Stoecker.
Funeral service will be Wednesday January 25th at 11:00 a.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recital at 7:00 p.m.
