Jack Melvin McCartney's Obituary
Jack Melvin McCartney age 75 of Zephyrhills, Florida died Thursday, October 30, 2003 in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 31, 1928 in St. Clair, Michigan to the late Russell & Helena McCartney. Jack loved boating, playing the organ and making people laugh. He sailed the great lakes as a young man & served in the Army during World War II. in Japan. He then worked for Chrysler for 30 years and retired to Zephyrhills, Florida, There he enjoyed gardening, several pets and making others still laugh. Jack was the unknown comic of his time. He always had
a joke and smile to brighten your day.
Jack is survived by his daughter Debby McCartney. Son Dean
McCartney, Roy Rangel Jack’s partner for 23 years. A brother
Earl (Pat) McCartney. Sisters Rosemary (Harry) Kelly and Louise
(Jerry) Auclair. Grandchildren Tonya & Russell McCartney, Christopher & Serena Ewing. Great Grandchildren Michealina Marie and Sinnaya Lynn, and many nieces and nephews and a list of family members that goes on and that loved to laugh with him.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Hillside Cemetery
Thursday from 11:30 till 12 Noon when a memorial service will be held.
