Irene Poplawski's Obituary
Irene Poplawski, 93, of Houghton formerly of St. Clair, died Sunday, September 21, 2003.
Irene was born on August 22, 1910 in Hamtramck, to the late Walter and Martha (Nastali) Kornacki. She graduated form Hamtramck High School and was employed for a time at the Murray Corp., in Detroit until 1950. Irene married Adam Harry Poplawski in 1933 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
She is survived by her son, David, (LaDonna) Poplawski of Houghton, a grand daughter, Jennifer Poplawski of Grand Rapids, and a brother, Ray (Helen) Kornacki of Grosse Pointe Shores. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Harold, a sister, Eleanor Snopkowski.
Visitation from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home Wednesday 6-8 PM
Thursday in state at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9 AM till mass at 10 AM.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
