Hurd B. Armstrong's Obituary
Hurd B. Armstrong age 98 of St. Clair died Saturday. June 18, 2011. Hurd was born July 30, 1912 in St. Clair to the late Thomas and Caroline (Brenner) Armstrong. He married Ethel M. Jones and she preceded him in death 2006. Hurd was a veteran of WWII serving USCG-Merchant Marine, he also sailed on the lakes and was a retired manager for Sears.
He is survived by his sons, Hurd Avery (Patricia) Armstrong, David (Colleen) Armstrong and daughter Mary (Greg) Armstrong-Richardson, grand children Alicia Paul, Amanda Armstrong, Mara Armstrong, Lindsay Richardson and David Richardson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Winneford, Frank, Elmer, Hilbert, Eleanor and Elberna.
Visitation Wednesday 4-8 PM in the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. In State Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church from 10:30 AM till service at 11 AM, Rev. Roland Troike officiating Memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran church
