Helen L. Scharnweber's Obituary
Helen L Scharnweber age 87, of St. Clair died Friday, August 12, 2005. Helen was born
January 4, 1918 in LaPorte, Indiana. She was a bookkeeper for South Side Lumber, Burkwhat Chevrolet and was head bookeepper for the St. Clair Inn. Helen was a member of the Monday Nighters, Child Study Club the Children Recreation Committee Auxiliary, and the St. Clair
Theater Guild. She was also a member of St. Peter''s Lutheran church, St. Clair where she taught Sunday school and sang in the Choir. Helen married Oscar Scharnweber in 1939, Oscar preceded her in death, August 5, 2004.
She is survived by her children Kay & Marvin Ashton, David & Carole Scharneweber, Robert Scharnweber & special friends Wendy & Cindy Parent, Sue & Mark Daniels and Bill & Marilyn
Scharnweber. Grandchildren Jim & Julie Kavanaugh, Scot & Jennifer Kavanaugh, Beth & Steve Day,
Ken & Julie Ashton, Lisa & Scott Sorbie, Diane Scharnweber, Beth & Dan Trudeau and Kerri Daniels,
Holly Scharnweber, Tom Scharnweber, Jeff Wilton, Sarah Stotler, Christopher Stotler.
Great grandchildren Sydney & Shelby Kavanaugh, Andrew & Emily Day, Shawne , Mitchel and Caurey Ashton, Katherine Elizabeth Sorbie and Benjamin Trudeau and Phoenix Stotler two Sisters, Wanda and Margaret. Special friends Don Barnum, Brian Moss and Leroy Jordan and all her friends at Palmer Manor and her cat “Blackie”. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends at the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 12 Noon till 2 PM. Memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Children Recreation Committee(CRC)
