Grace's family was fortunate to have her during her short time on earth, but her leaving is a profound loss for them. She was a kind, generous, caring lady who was always happy to help others.
My brother Alan married Grace's daughter Sandy many years ago bringing Grace into our family. She was a wonderful mother-in-law to Alan and a good friend to my mother Rosie.
When my mother passed away in 1995, Grace was there helping with the funeral luncheon. In the three years (minus two months) following Rosie's death, Grace helped take care of my father Walter.
Grace was a proud, loving grandmother and I remember how beautiful and happy she was when my niece Stephanie married Derek last October.
Alan passed away, at a very young age, this past November. Grace insisted on staying with Sandy for a few days to care for and comfort her even though she wasn't feeling well herself. The only thing that took Grace away from Sandy's side was knowing her husband needed her at home.
I know it was a joyous reunion when Grace joined my mom Rosie and brother Alan in heaven. As my granddaughter Haley would attest, Grace is a saint now. As any good saint would do, Grace will continue to look out for those she loved on earth and they will be blessed for having known her.##imported-begin##Darleen Shipway##imported-end##
