Geraldine R. Schwartz's Obituary
Geraldine R. Schwartz – 86 of St. Clair died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 7, 1922 in St. Clair, Michigan.
Geraldine was an avid casino enthusiast and enjoyed playing the quarter slot machines. She also loved to make her “Jocko Monkeys” and “Kimonos” for her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Schwartz also worked at Prestolite Corp. for many years and retired in 1981. Her children described her as a talented seamstress who was a great conversationalist.
Geraldine is the beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Schwartz. Loving mother of Thomas (Judy) Schwarz, James (Phyllis) Day, Richard (Susan) Schwartz, Julie (Joseph) Elsholz, Catherine (Larry) Lukovich, and Kelly (Gerald) Silvas. Cherished sister of Genevieve Schwartz. Proud grandmother of 16. Also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home from 2-4pm & 7-9pm with a 7:30pm Rosary. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30am Wednesday at the funeral home and continuing to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clair for an 11am Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair. The family suggests memorials to St. John Hospice.
