Hi Mom! Our grandbaby is due soon and I wish you were here to share the excitement with us. I have been busy making kimonos and monkeys and I even made a blanket with Kelly's help! I have used up all of the flannel that you had. I cut kimonos out of what was left and have them ready to sew for the next baby that comes along. There's still blanket squares left for another blanket, and a few pairs of socks for monkeys. It was fun, but bittersweet. I had a hard time getting started but Kel was a great support. Hi from Florida Mom! It's cold down here this winter. Probably the coldest one since we've been coming down here. I'm hoping the cardinals come back. The nest is still there although it's in need of a little repair. It would be nice to see another family grow up and fly away again. See if you can work a little magic to make that happen. Merry Christmas Mom! It's never more evident just how much we all miss you than on days like today. To not have you sitting at the Christmas dinner table for the first time is like a kick in the gut. I have dreaded this day coming. To not be able to call you for turkey advice is awful, although Julie is a good second "Mom." Thank God the two little sisters have her to lean on. Hello Mudda, Another holiday weekend without you sitting on the deck :-( I remember how much you loved Larry's famous steak on the grill. That along with a nice crock of your baked beans and a big bowl of macaroni salad was always the perfect cookout feast. From now on the holidays will never be the same.
