George R. Leplae's Obituary
George R. LePlae, age 86, of St. Clair, formerly of Naples, and Grosse Pointe Woods, died Thursday, November 25, 2004. George was born March 30, 1918 to the late Leo and Marie Leplae. He graduated from U. of D. with a degree in chemical engineering and worked for Fisher Body and Jansen Manufacturing and held several patents. He married Magella LaLonde, February 15, 1941. George was a member of the D.Y.C., the D.A.C., the Naples Sailing Club and St. Mary''s Catholic Church, St. Clair, MI. He is survived by his wife, Magella. Son, Richard D. LePlae. Daughters, Diane (Tom) Carroll, and Denise (Lance) Olson. Grandchildren, James, Mathias and Colleen Carroll. Great granddaughters, Emily, Rebecca and Madison Carroll. His sisters, Esther Brandau and Joan Metzler. Brother, Robert V. LePlae and the late Edwin LePlae. Visitation Saturday at St. Mary''s Catholic Church, St. Clair from 10:30A until 11A. Memorials to Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair.
