Mrs Gayle Barnum's Obituary
Mrs. Gayle Barnum, 85, of Lake Wales, Florida died on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her home. She was born on September 25, 1929 to Roy and Helen McMeeken in Port Huron, Michigan and moved to Lake Wales 42 years ago from St. Clair, Michigan.
She was a retired registered nurse at Lake Wales Hospital with 30 years of service and was a graduate of Harper Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit. She volunteered for Bok Tower Gardens at the welcome desk for 27 years and was active at the Lake Wales Arts Center.
Gayle is survived by her children Michael (Maria) Barnum of St.Clair; Donald Barnum of Sterling Heights, MI, Randy (Linda) Barnum of Modesto, CA, Brook Barnum of Richmond, CA, Betsy (Roger) Edwards of Babson Park, and Nancy (Ken) Knox of Plantation, FL, 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn and a sister Judith Nowak.
