Frederick B. Rozelle's Obituary
Frederick B. Rozelle, age 86, of St. Clair, MI, died on July 25, 2018. Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife, Monica Rozelle (married in 1956) and brother; Raymond Rozelle.
Fred was a Civil Engineer who truly enjoyed his work on numerous tunneling projects in Michigan, and throughout the U.S. and Japan. After retiring he became an entrepreneur developing and managing real estate projects. He was an avid sailor who participated in several Mackinac races and enjoyed sailing throughout the Great Lakes and East Coast with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending winter months in Colorado skiing and in Florida boating and golfing.
He is survived by his loving family, wife; Emilyn Rozelle (married in 1984), son; Fred (Jan) Rozelle and daughter; Mary (Mike) Adkins, Emmy's daughter; Pam Kirtley, sons; Matt (Andrea) and Mark (Rachael) Wright.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Curtis (Katie) and Steven Rozelle, Katie and Jeff Adkins, Lee Thomas and Samantha Kirtley, Amanda and John Wright; and great-grandchild Adrienne Rozelle, his brother; Michael Rozelle and sister; Claire Fernly.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair and at church half hour before mass. A rosary will be said at 8:00 p.m. Monday evening. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair.
